Wax paper. Yet another handy kitchen item that sits-sometimes for years-in the drawer, unnoticed.
Did you know that wax paper and parchment paper are not the same thing? In fact, wax paper is not heat resistant so should not ever be used in the oven as the wax can melt and even ignite. For baking, choose parchment paper–it is grease, moisture and heat resistant and specially treated for oven use.
