1. Use a fitted sheet to keep sand out of your stuff.
This is such a genius idea! Just tuck your heavy items in the corners of the sheet and you have yourself a safe haven from sand in your sandwich and in your water bottle. This is great was to protect infants from excess sand in their mouths, too, without dragging bulky playpens to the beach.
