In my opinion, the very best DIYs are those that have the most personal history.  When you can take an object from your past and upcycle it into something beautiful and useful, well then, you have done your job.

This is one of the best cases of this I have seen whereby a LEGALLY BLIND father made a stunning table out of a tree that his son climbed as a kid.
