It's WISE to DIY: Thrify Ideas for the Do-It-Yourselfer

After She Got Her Hands On This Mid-Century Dresser, It REALLY Shined!

She began with a mid-century dresser that many would have left just as it was.

She sanded it down to the original wood and also cleaned up the handles using steel wool and vinegar till they looked like new.

Then she gave it a coat of Annie Sloan’s Clear Wax.  On the top and sides she used DecoArt Americana Decor Chalky Finish paint in Relic and finally, sealed it with Soft Varnish.

The result is STUNNING and belongs in a mid-century SHOWROOM!

She really brought out the best in this dresser without transforming it at all.  BRAVO!!

Have you ever restored a piece of furniture without changing much?  How did it turn out?
