It's WISE to DIY: Thrify Ideas for the Do-It-Yourselfer

DIY Family Charging Station

Directions:

  1. Once you have selected the location where your charging station will live (based obviously on which outlet you will use, install the 4 port USB charger per the instructions. (If you do not feel electrically inclined enough to do this yourself, enlist someone who is!)
  2. Mark the spots on the bottom of the wooden organizer where you want your cords to go through.
  3. Drill a small pilot hole to ensure it is in the correct spot and the make the hole big enough to slide the small end of the charging cord through.
  4. Apply the felt furniture pads to the bottom to give the box the lift that it needs so that the cords can fit under the box comfortably. If one layer of pads is not enough, double them up.

5. Plug in your cords to the port and leave the other end free in the box.  Set the box upright, and tuck all your devices in for the night.

That’s it!  You now have a home to dock 4 phones and an iPad and no shortage of USB ports!
