DIY Oversized Wall Art

Supplies:

According to home depot:

sandpaper or electric sander
Minwax interior stain in Early American
Lint-free cloth
Painter’s tape
Rust-Oleum Painter’s Touch Metallic Gold spray paint
D-ring picture hangers

1 sheet of 5/32″ plywood (I used one of the birch Purebond Project Panels, but maple would also work)

Have the store cut the plywood into 3 24″ x 40″ pieces.  After a quick sanding and a Minimax stain, it is time to create the geometric patten with your painter’s tape.

After the tape is all played out, paint with the metallic paint.  The finished product is just OUTSTANDING!!

The metallic with the wood-grain, the oversize dimension…just beautiful!  You certainly don’t have to be an artist to make this, but your friends will insist you are!

Have you ever DIYed your own wall art?

Thank you to homedepot for this awesome tutorial!
