Ever been stuck with a dull knife but nothing to sharpen it on?
No worries! Grab a coffee mug, flip it upside-down and drag the blade of the knife, one side at a time over the edge of the bottom of the cup.
Pretty soon, you will have yourself a sharp blade and you can go on with your cooking.

It’s a stupid plastic knife. who uses one of those?
And THAT my friends is why I will NEVER own any other dinnerware than CORELLE! Even the very expensive dinnerware have rough bottums, and not just the cups,,,they leave scratches all over your tables! I personally do not like tablecloths, nor do I care for placemats,,,so I guess knife sharpening would put them to a better use.
But be careful
My point exactly, how rough the bottom of cups really are. Every set of dishes, even the very expensive, have cups and bowls, plates, with rough bottoms,,,they SCRATCH the hell out of your table! Correlle is the only ones I know of with very smooth bottoms,,,!
