Extension cords can be such a mess.
Similar to cables, which also need to be organized correctly, extension cords are something you need to have around and that sometimes are in use, but that can create a mess and confusion if not properly stored.

love the comments everyone :
I have been doing this with my extension cords with my computer cord when my printer cord monitor cord any cord that I wish to shorten I use this method that way I do not have any cords hanging down behind my desk
I would be afraid that doing that repeatedly would end up fraying or splitting the cord. IDK. Most of mine are in use so I seldom have any extra but when I have, I have used the empty TP roll as a case for small ones and for longer/bigger ones, I have used an empty wax paper roll.
I just set up my computer on my desk one time I manage the cords to fit that particular space and I don’t necessarily need to adjust them again so they don’t get frayed
