Thanks to the folks at diybulleye for these written instructions:
Step 1 – Set the heat gun to “high” and warm the affected area – remember to keep the gun moving all over the affected area to avoid blistering. Do this for about five minutes.
Step 2: Turn the can of compressed air upside down, to freeze the contents.
Step 3: Holding the compressed air can upside down, apply the compressed air to the dent – do three or four applications.
Step 4: Repeat the first three steps as needed – each iteration should reduce the size and visibility of the dent.
As you will see in the video, some gentle tapping can help it along the way, as well.
This isn’t going to work 100% of the time but boy, it sure is worth a try, right?
Be careful with the heat on the paint. Keep it moving so you don’t damage your paint!
