This is a cool DIY to do with the kids. They can help make the dough and then have a ball playing with it. (It is edible but hopefully, they won’t eat too much of the stuff–that would definitely be a recipe for a stomachache.)
All you need is a container of WHIPPED cake frosting, coconut oil and some powdered sugar. Once the dough is made then the kids can get creative with ice cream cones and toppings, decorating as they like.
Although our source at Modern Parents Messy Kids calls this DIY “Ice Cream Playdough”, there is no reason why the kids couldn’t use this “clay” to mold any kind of food or object they want. It can be used just as any store-bought Playdough would be used. Cookie cutters would be a fun tool to have on the table for them as well.
