She Cuts A Heart Out Of This Non-Slip Mat and Then Makes Something ADORABLE!!

I recognized the kind of non-slip mat she uses in this craft because it is the same kind  of mat that I use to line all my kitchen shelves and drawers.

I have never seen anyone craft with this stuff but when I saw what she made, I was SO IMPRESSED!

This is a simple craft that is perfect to do while you watch your favorite show.  Check it out on the next page…

I’m thinking a good fat/heavy yarn may be easier or quicker … kind of like doing latch hook.

  4. I can’t HEAR you!!! 🙁

  5. what does she do with the iron?

  6. I liked it,but it wud be very time consuming…

  14. use a latch-hook rug tool…and Sher, I agree…use bulky yarn.

  15. Debra Koon says:

    like a latch hook rug

  16. I’V DONE THIS BEFORE , SOMEONE HAD THE SAME IDEALS I HAD <3

  17. Maybe if you cut the strips narrower it would be easier – and using a crochet hook might make pulling them through a bit quicker.

  18. Anna Snow thought of you when I saw this!!!!!!

  19. Faye Fair says:

I am going to try that using plastic bags and see how it works.

  22. I cut pieces of non slip mat to put under furniture legs to keep furniture from sliding on wood floors…

  23. I put pieces of that under everything, to protect my breakables from flying cats!

  24. You could always do a piece by piece if you want a larger rug….I have sewed small rag rugs together for years…kind of a no brainer..

  25. Well if you go click on the “next page” on the lower right you would see the video on how to….why did you just not scroll down? Are you new to computers or something?

i use those to place in between stack-able plates/displays to keep them sliding apart and also under anything on shelf’s, great product. Use a color to blend in w/table deco.

  29. Don’t know how well it would hold up —– that non-slip mat is just a type of foam. Is she using it as a rug? It’s not very big if that’s what she is using it for. Might be better as a throw pillow —- make 2 pieces & thread them together after stuffing.

  30. Ruthie Basye Darling this is awesome

  31. love this idea. Taylor Wright thought you might like to do this.

  32. Donna Curry says:

I would use a latch hook and I agree that yarn would be easier.

  35. Karen Kelly says:

Hmmm. Wonder if I have the patience to complete a project like this? I’ll put it on my TO DO List.

  36. Thats how I do mine…also strips of material will fray…

  37. Sher Stookey says:

Right size for outside the shower. Or, do two side by side or just use a larger rectangle instead of heart. It did seem small. Instead of a rug, it could be hung…much like a latch hook “rug” which are never big enough either to be used as a “rug”.
