  5. You can put material on walls like wallpaper with liquid starch. Just spread the starch on, and then apply material like wallpaper. I learned this on one of those home shows. It works wonderful on paneling. when you want it off you just pull it off, and then wash the walls. I bet you could do it on windows too.

  6. Cute but what about attracting ants?

  7. Lee Bostain says:

they make contact paper that looks just like lace.

for boys rooms, you can use tulle maybe. love the idea.

  10. Leah says:

Not tried it-yet- but for a not so feminine look how about wide tulle? I think nylon netting would be too open but tulle comes in 6 inch and up for width. So many different colors and inexpensive too.

ewwwwww. i always wanted to keep my grand kids’ art work – you know: macaroni necklace, paper mache items but just NOT a good idea! with cornstarch base on window can’t you just SEE the Bugs licking them clean? shiver

  15. Nancy says:

A layer of cheesecloth might be good for those that don’t want lace. Has anyone tried tissue paper?

  16. Mary Hixon says:

yes! all kinds of insects that you don’t want in your home! corn starch is food item! same with home made clay (flour, water, salt) home made glue (flour & water i think) for paper mache projects. finished things look NICE but it will attract Bugs! i’ve even tried coating finished item with clear paint or varnish but they will still eat it up 😛

  17. Jim Terry says:

Contact paper works much better and no mess.

  18. Thank you Mary! That was my suspicion…..

any symbol or just the colors.

  37. Cheri Hughes says:

I’ve done liquid starch and fabric on walls to create a different look. It stayed up for 10 years until I took it down when we moved. Didn’t attract bugs.

    can the window be cleaned?
