Masculine room for one who likes camo: there is camo print mesh fabric in many fabric stores, as well as the big blue box store sporting goods section. It might work.

There are lots of other sheer fabrics available that would be more masculine. Anything white would still look just as “bright” as the lace. Check out http://www.joann.com/fabric/home-decor-fabric/sheer-fabric/ (specifically, look at ones like “Eaton Square Bauer Shell,” “Eaton Square Barton Linen,” and “Eaton Square Bookworm Jute”).

For a boys room try mesh practice jerseys. Go to good will and find some that match the room or mix match with numbers and teams. Or even plain mesh laundry bags cut up. Could be died to match or cut in different shapes. Experiment and have fun.

I remember as a little kid in the 50s, my mom would use Glass Wax for Christmas decorations on our windows. I can still see them in my mind.

    • l'heurenleue says:

You can still find the Glass Wax stencils on sBay. If you can’t find Glass wax use a thicker cornstarch mixture.

  33. Yvnne says:

How do you remove it? Does it come off just as easy?

  34. This is how we decorated in the 1950’s and us kids did it ourselves. I still have some. 🙂 http://hubpages.com/holidays/decorate-your-windows-with-glass-wax-and-stencils

    • hofwoman says:

With the Glasswax, you can add a few drops of food coloring to a small portion to get colors on the stencils. Made it even more pretty. I remember doing this in the 60’s, and yes, it made it fun to clean the windows after!
