If you have any windows in your home or apartment where you want the natural light but need a little privacy, this is a truly lovely solution.

Granted, it is a bit feminine but I am wondering how we can use this idea and make it masculine, as well…

  1. I have been using flour. Works just as well

  2. I bought cling window stuff at home depot. Different patterns or just a frosted look. Just spritz the window with water, position the cling & smooth it out with a credit card. Works wonderful Doesn’t come off until you take it off. Rain, snow or heat. I got it for my sliding glass doors to put a strip on where the dogs scratch to come in. They can’t scratch & ruin the door now.

    I have used spray starch and colored tissue paper….gives privacy and glows like stained glass windows….

    For a boy’s bathroom or bedroom, perhaps thin, translucent bandanas? Reds, blues, other colors available. Also look for scarves that are boy theme (sports, etc.) that are thin, translucent, or maybe just strips or squares of various colored semi-sheer fabric that the guy can use fabric marker to customize before they’re installed?

    I think tinted water and paint stripes instead of using lace could make this more masculine

    I used tissue paper and liquid laundry starch to create privacy in the side lights for my front door. It worked great, lasted a long time, and was easy to remove when I wanted to take it off.
