If you have any windows in your home or apartment where you want the natural light but need a little privacy, this is a truly lovely solution.
Granted, it is a bit feminine but I am wondering how we can use this idea and make it masculine, as well…
Maybe you can think of some ideas as you scroll down the next page…

white glue dabbed on a window creates a frosted window you can’t see through but get light through
I love thid idea…goes with my old house look, too!!!!
Wonder if a mesh workout football jersey would work for a kids room….Maybe too heavy…..

For a more masculine look you could use the mesh like on sports jerseys in the color of your favorite teams. Some fabric stores even have the mesh with the logos of sports teams on them.
This could be a great idea, for some windows.
Kristy McNeill for that window
And it’s guaranteed that nobody can see in
if you use the netting fabric like in a sports jersey it is perfect for a boys room
Corn starch is the very favorite food of cockroachs. Be prepared for bugs galore.
I think you might find something suitable at Jo Ann Fabrics, as they have MANY sheer ones, some are available only online and depending on quality prices may become more expensive than you prefer, but you have to figure out how many windows, thus just how many yards of fabric you will need also depending on the size of the window.

Burlap by the yard is Ultra see thru – would be great for boy’s room!

FOR GUYS GET A MESH CAMO CLOTH AT A FABRIC STORE OR SPORTING GOODS STORE. IT WOULD LOOK FINE.
I would think that egg white or cornstarch would be very attractive to roaches.
I hate when then come up with these post that will not let you look at it without down loading it. Why can’t they just put a link for us to click on like a lot of others on here?? I don’t like downloading anything, I don’t wnat to mess up my computer so I gues I will not be looking at this!!
I am trying this but using fabric starch.
mesh / netting .. it comes in all sorts of colors – is super cheap per yard at most any fabric store – you could used two layers of different colors for more privacy and color combinations

I have sheer plaid curtains in my family room. Got them from Brylane Home catalog. One panel $8 and you could use them for a boys room.
What about what Nicole Curtis uses on the windows of her remodeled homes when she repaints the frames around the windows.
What can I say, brillant for privacy diy!! Got my mind rolling now.
decorative mylar is also a way and inexpensive.
Brenda Hopper Eakins this would be something for the balcony windows in the Mill on the Lounge side
clever idea for some privacy!
Burlap…
They make window film that looks like that. Why draw bugs? Diluted Elmer’s Glue or Modge Podge would do the same thing. It is a neat idea, though.
I used Mod Podge from thr Craft Dept and just keep it on hand for all uses! For males you can use light colored silk jerseys of their favorite teams from Good-Will
Great Idea.Thanks
How about cutting netting (comes in a variety of colors) to fit window and Barbie, Frozen characters, cowboys or animals, etc from room coordinating materials in a childs room.
i did mine and put burlap on my doors. I couldn’t find blinds or curtains rods to fit so I did the burlap. It gives a lot more privacy.
