Line your backpack with a plastic trash bag.
This is a genius way to ensure that even in the case of really bad weather, your stuff will stay dry. I like that kind of reassurance.
2. Put vaseline on your blister-prone areas.
Before you put on your shoes and socks, apply vaseline on your blister-prone spots to avoid getting them in the first place. You can also try those socks with toes to prevent toes from rubbing together.
3. Use ziplock bags to protect your tech.
A ziplock bag will protect your phone and even allow you to use it in the rain. Granted, your pics will be pretty fuzzy, but at least you will still have a phone when you get home. (I have never seen this type of utensil bag but apparently it fits an iPhone 6 perfectly.)
