Materials:

  • flip flops
  • long oblong scarf of a light fabric

Directions:

1. Take your scarf and cut it up the middle LONGWAYS so that you have 2 long pieces.

2. Take one of your pieces, fold it in half and pull the looped/closed side under the ‘V’ of the shoe.  Like so:

3. Take the loose ends of the scarf and pull them over the ‘V’ and through the loop of the other side.  Push the knot you just made down to the bottom of the toe and pull it tight.

4. Now, one side at a time, take the scarf and wrap it around and around the strap of the flip flop, all the way back.  Like so:

5. Slide them on as normal and wrap the excess scarf around your ankle and tie!  There are lots of ways you can tie the straps around your ankle.  Experiment with a few and see which way you like best.
