We have all seen carpet squares in the carpet store but I for one have never considered taking a stack of them home.
Apparently, you can get them for about $2/each but you should actually ask if they will give them to you for $1 because it will cut your cost in half for this project.

I once carpeted my kids room with carpet samples using double sided tape to keep them down. Was cute in young childrens room.

I got a bunch of them to make a rug free but she doesn’t say how hard it is to get them off of the board that they are stuck to

Nice….I have used them in my pet carriers.
I used a putty knife it’s still hard to get them off but worth it when you get your rug done
i have don that and used duck tape t fastent hem together
Back in the 70’s we used an old sheet and elmers glue. Go to a carpet store and ask for free scraps. Old things new again.
That was what I was going to say. I remember when. It was shag carpet mostly then.
