CARPET SQUARE AREA RUG
Once you pick up enough carpet squares to create a rug the size you want (hopefully for $1/each or less), you will need some of this stuff, too:
You are going to place out your squares on the floor and like a puzzle, put together the rug you want. Using the FlorCraft QuickSeam, attach all the pieces together and if you want to handle slipping, fasten rubber drawer/shelf liners to the bottom.
Look at what you can create!
This beautiful rug was made for $30! Keep in mind when you are selecting your squares to pick the same type of carpet so that you have tat continuity in the finished product.
Have you ever upcycled carpet squares? We are curious! What did you do with them?
Thank you to ascoopofsherbert for this amazing idea and great pics! See their site for more deets on this project.

I once carpeted my kids room with carpet samples using double sided tape to keep them down. Was cute in young childrens room.
Love the idea of this, thank you for the info.
WOWWW …VERY PRETTY …
I got a bunch of them to make a rug free but she doesn’t say how hard it is to get them off of the board that they are stuck to
Marjorie and Joanna, you could do this!
Cindy Barker Rankin, if you google DIY to make carpets from carpet squares, you will find instructions.
OK thanks we got them off but was really surprised how stuck they were.
Robert DeMeritt look at this ♡ ♡ ♡
Nice….I have used them in my pet carriers.
I used a putty knife it’s still hard to get them off but worth it when you get your rug done

Back in the 70’s we used an old sheet and elmers glue. Go to a carpet store and ask for free scraps. Old things new again.
That was what I was going to say. I remember when. It was shag carpet mostly then.
WOW! I love this….absolutely beautiful!
Stefanie Lanier….James’ mom did this years ago! -Renea-
That’s cool
Did that years ago but sewed them together
we just duct taped them together in the 70’s
