It's WISE to DIY: Thrify Ideas for the Do-It-Yourselfer

She Put Marbles In The Oven, Then Ice Water…AMAZING!

According to amercianoverlook:

Preheat your oven to 500°F and arrange your marbles on the baking sheet. Bake the marbles for 20 minutes and remove them carefully.

Prepare a bowl of extremely cold ice water. Now carefully dump the hot marbles into the freezing water. The extreme temperature shift will crack the insides of the marbles but won’t affect the smooth exteriors.

Now your marbles will look like crystals.

You can use them as beautiful beads by super-gluing a bead cap to it and putting it on a chain or earring post.  You can use them to fill a vase.  Let your imagination run with this…this is a stunning crystalized marble that will work with so many projects!

Tell us your ideas to use them!

Thanks to amercianoverlook for this awesome tip!
