DIY CHEESE KNIVES
Supplies (According to sugarandcloth)
- SMALL SECTION OF A PINE 2×4 BOARD
- MITRE SAW OR HAND SAW BELT SANDER
- ELECTRIC DRILL FITTED WITH A 7/32″ DRILL BIT
- DARK GREEN/BLUE SPRAY PAINT
- POLYURETHANE SPRAY
- 3 PIECE CHEESE TOOL SET INCLUDING BOLSTER
- INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH ADHESIVE (OPTIONAL)
Directions:
First she cut the board into 4 1×4 pieces. (Discarded the 4th since she only needed three…but you may want to consider making a couple sets of these!)
Then she used a miter saw and sand paper to cut the wood pieces into shapes that mimic crystals.
Next she drilled a hole into each wooden piece so that the cheese tools could fit in.
Finally, 2 coats of spray paint (allowing to dry in between) and the polyurethane on top.
After she assembled them, they were JUST GORGEOUS!
I would definitely have more parties if I had these.
Have you ever DIYed something that most people would never even dream of making themselves? What did you make?
Thank you to sugarandcloth for this amazing DIY. You should see their site for more deets on how they executed this project.
