She started with this ordinary and very tired old dresser. (One that most would have left on the curb!)
She did your standard sand, prime and paint on the body of the dresser. She did blue and white over the blue. When she distressed the paint job, the blue came through. SO cool!
The drawers is where she got creative with the paint sticks.
Cutting them and wood gluing them into a herringbone/chevron pattern was the key element that elevated this dresser.
She inlayed this pattern on all the drawer fronts and also stained it.
The result is breathtaking! What a gorgeous mid-century modern effect!
The wood grain just pops out and the dresser is showroom ready.
