CEREAL BOX BEADS
Supplies:
- Cereal boxes
- scissors
- tacky glue
- modge podge
- 14 gauge wire
- elastic string
Directions:
First, cut the cereal boxes long-ways into strips that are 3/4″ wide on one end and taper down to 1/8″ wide at the other end.
Take a piece of your wire and begin wrapping the wide end around the wire and continue wrapping until you have wrapped it all the way around, keeping the strip centered upon the layer below it all the time.
You can take the wire out after you have wrapped it about 1/2 way.
When you get to the end you can add several drops of glue to stick it together.
Also, put a layer of modge podge over the whole bead to secure it.
String them on your elastic string and use them for necklaces, keychains or what ever you like!

Thank you to suzysitcom for this great tutorial and beautiful pics! See her site for more info on this craft.
I don’t need beads, however, the waxes insides bags are stronger than the store brand. Great for pounding chicken breasts or what ever you use Waxed paper for.
The paper beads may work as diffuser beads for essential oils. Hmmm
I don’t want to have to download an app to get this information. Just wnat to see what was made.

Magazine pages are easily rolled into beads.
You could probably use other boxes as well – say the cartons a 12-pack of 12 ounce sodas are in.
I use tourist information maps from places we have visited!
I have a necklace made from the funny papers .
