It's WISE to DIY: Thrify Ideas for the Do-It-Yourselfer

The Tops Of These Adorable “Toadstools” Are Made From Something You Have In Your Kitchen!

Materials:

  • Wooden salad bowl
  • Red spray paint
  • White duct tape
  • Short logs cut down to the proper height for sitting on
  • Drill
  • Scissors

Directions:

According to twigsandtoadstools:

1. First get all of the dirt off of the outside of your bowl…put it on some newspaper outside and spray it whatever color you desire, (we did ours red), according to the instructions on your paint.
2. Then, I cut the white duct tape into little circles and stuck them all over the bowl. I don’t know how the duct tape will hold up, but it sure was easy to use…it says it is weather proof, so we’ll see.

3. Drill a hole into the underside of your bowl.
4. Screw the mushroom “cap” onto a log, and there you go!!!

It would probably be wise to dig a hole and “plant” your log into the dirt or grass for stability.  Now you have your toadstool chair growing right out of the ground!
