1. Plastic crates with cushions
Plastic crates are so cheap and easy to come by. Why not stack a few and put some comfy cushions on top? They even have a sort of vintage charm to them if they are styled right!
2. Cinderblocks stacked with cushions
Heavier than the crates but much sturdier and the kids won’t be able to knock this one over. There isn’t much that is harder or less comfortable than a cinderblock but if you cover it with cushions, who cares? It has a clean industrial look.
3. Cinderblocks with wood slats and cushions
This is perhaps my favorite because it has a warmer feel and a more polished look but still, so darn easy. I love how the wood slats sticking out at the ends actually make a sort of built in side table.
