When I think of Crisco, I immediately think of my college roommate who made these AMAZING chocolate chip cookies. She swore that if you used Crisco instead of butter and mix only with a wooden spoon instead of a mixer (to prevent mixing a lot of air into the batter and losing that dense and chewy consistency) that you would have the BEST cookies. She may have been right. Those cookies were AMAZING.

Camping trick from years ago.
Have never used butter for choc. chip cookies. Always use Crisco in them. They taste much better and are softer.
