Now that you have the supplies you need, here are the simple steps to get this fun project done.
Directions:
- Mix the water, Mod Podge and food coloring in the jar. You may need to use a popsicle stick to get all the Mod Podge off the bottom.
- Move the jar around until the entire thing has been coated.
- Place the jar upside-down on a plastic knife or popsicle stick in the jelly roll pan. Some of the excess mixture will drip off so the pan should be something that will contain it.
- Once all the excess has drained off, bake them right-side up at 200 degrees. Keep them in the oven until the last bits of Mod Podge has baked off. You can see when the last bit pools at the bottom of the jar. It will take approx one hour.
- Take them out of the oven and enjoy them!
These are so cute to hold candles, pencils, flowers…so many things you can use these for to add a pop of color and some charm. Use bigger jars for bigger items.
I would not personally advise drinking out of these jars since they have been coated with stuff that is not edible and also, they may not be waterproof so excess washing will probably fade the color a lot.

Cool idea
I must try this with the mason jar lights that I am going to make.
