After I watched this video the first thing I did was send it to my husband because he grills a steak probably twice/week and although he has gotten quite good at it, he has never used this secret ingredient that will give you that super-dry surface–a surface that you need to get that beautiful sear.

Makes a lot of sense! The tip about getting the extra thick steak and making it really cold is pretty brilliant. Anything you can do to let that steak sit on the grill longer without overcooking will help in the execution of that perfectly seared steak.
(Search for ORGANIC corn starch by the way! Anything else with be genetically modified and that’s just not good.)
