BURLAP-COVERED CANVAS CORK BOARD
Materials:
- canvas-wrapped board
- enough burlap to cover the board plus 4″ on all sides
- cork (same size as canvas)
- hot glue
- upholstery tacks
- staple gun
Directions according to tatertotsandjello:
- Cut the cork to the same size as the front of the canvas board
- Use hot glue or adhesive to glue the cork onto the front of the canvas
- Lay the canvas board on top of the burlap – face-down – and wrap the burlap around the canvas
- Use a staple gun to glue gun to adhere the burlap onto the canvas
- Add some upholstery tacks to the front of the board for a finishing touch
- For DIY pushpins:
Use E6000 glue or hot glue to stick various buttons onto thumbtacks.
The finished product is SO COOL and SO FUNCTIONAL!
The upholstery tacks really add to it, making it more than an ordinary bulletin board.
